OUR START
Sabiha and Phiroz Sheikh started making traditional Kulfi and sorbets after their family recipes at their family home. Soon after, local restaurants started reaching out to buy their unique desserts.
1985
THE FACTORY
Rented a factory in Witton, to meet the customers demand for their ice cream desserts.
1987
WE GREW
Sweetheart Ice Cream became famous within the restaurant industry because of their one of a kind products. Word about their success went above the Midlands, customers placing orders from everywhere in the UK.
1992
THE DAILY MAIL
The company was mentioned in the Evening Mail for the world’s biggest ever made Balti Ice Cream
1995
INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS
The 5 ltr Luxury Ice cream range was launched, offering more flavours and better quality ice cream to dessert parlours within the UK.
2005
WHEAT WELL
Sweetheart Ice Cream gets featured in Birmingham Daily Mail with the innovative line ‘Wheat Well’, an ice cream made out of wheat grass
2011
MARIYA'S GELATO
Mariya’s Gelato was born, after the family took a trip to Italy and fell in love with Italy’s famous frozen dessert : Gelato.
2012
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
A 20 foot container of 16 pallets of Kulfi was shipped to a customer in Australia.
2015
COLLABORATIONS
Sweetheart makes 100,000 tubs of vegan vanilla ice cream for Bukwud Maple syrup for their marketing event across london. From then onwards Sweetheart collaborated with other known brands.
